january thirty-first

day trip to st. augustine with katie. it was cold. like 30-something cold. not florida like at all. did we bring winter back with us?

january thirtieth

we're having so much fun with katie in town. in the afternoon we got some stylish clip on sunglasses for mommy and her crazy eyes, then headed to cocoa beach so katie could see the ocean. i had lots of fun with my dinner menu and got to order off the kids' menu for the first time, wow!

january twenthy-ninth

cubs fans practice walking.
they also wrestle with dads as 'sibling' doggies look on.

january twenty-eighth

katie and i had lots of fun on the plane. i'm trying to figure out why she's looking at mommy and not at ME.

earlier in the day, we said goodbye to grandma and grandpa at the airport. they sure were helpful with mommy under the weather. i really love spending time with them.
and.... morning milestone.

i learned to climb stairs - thanks grandma. mommy is glad our florida house doesn't have them. not just because of the general inherent risks of toddlers and stairs... but better yet, i think the best way to go down the stairs is to lay down, and.....

ROLL!

january twenty-seventh

cuddle time with grandpa is one of the reasons i love my chicago visits. we snuggle well.

january twenty-sixth

first, a visit from miss nicki. she's good people, i like her.
second, bouncin' down the stairs with grandma. she sure knows how to have fun.
last below, one of my many blowouts that resulted in a bath. libby wanted to join = family bathtime.

january twenty-fifth

snow. for the first time. looks can be deceiving. i cooperated for this picture and quickly cried afterward. what fun is it to be freezing when you're bundled too much to move and are too small to throw or build with the white stuff? this is why i'm a florida baby!

below, my backhanded sippy cup trick. seemed to be the preferred method of the day. mom and grandma sure gave me grief over it.

january twenty-fourth

mommy was feeling a little better after her surgery so we invited grandpa's side of the family to come visit. it was so good to see them.

january twenty-third

greet.
inspect.
snuggle.

this striped kitty and i have had quite a time during the chicago visit. every time someone presses the foot to make this kitty talk, it wags its tail, i go crazy, and hug it back and forth. other stuffed animals sometimes scare me but this kitty is the best.

january twenty-second

mommy had eye surgery today. i stayed home and played with grandpa. we boys are a great team. below, mommy and i. she's definitely had better days. and then a picture of grandma and i. who knew vertical blinds made such great toys? today i wore my lionel train shirt for grandpa. he loved it.

january twenty-first

mommy and i flew to chicago on the even of her surgery. she was a very nervous lady and i was a handful in the plane. good thing i'm real cute and she still loves me oodles. i winked at mommy as she took this picture before we left for the airport. i'm such a flirt!

january twentieth

the day before mommy and i are traveling to illinois for mommy's eye surgery. let's get in some afternoon pics as a family.

january nineteenth

looks like mommy dropped the ball. she'll check her other camera but likely no luck.

january eighteenth

selecting a bedtime story for mommy to read to me

january seventeenth

coloring with dad at applebee's

january sixteenth

i love bathtime.

and i love how my new teeth make me resemble spongebob. well, i think i do? spongebob isn't necessarily hot stuff but the kids sure love him. at least i'm not yellow and my pants aren't square.

also, mom and i went to the circus with dad, it sure was fun. i slept a lot. hah.

january fifteenth

trike tike!

first time on a tricycle at prianka's place. friends divya and rohan anxiously help rohit with his innaugural trike experience.

january fourteenth

admiring my own image on the fridge. man that baby's cute!
below, practicing the poses of the great yogis. downward dog, man!

january thirteenth

cranky baby = bedtime
rohit then shakes and inspects his bottle
then he drinks happily

these pictures were staged. i hold him nightly before bedtime, we do a bottle, story, then dance and go to bed. but, i thought he looked super cute in his 'jammas and took the bottle away to prop him up for a picture. that started the fussing, shaking, and settling back in.

january twelfth

if you build it, i will crawl across the room to knock it down. promise. the taller the tower, the faster i scurry to destroy it.

january eleventh

posted in reverse order. first, the 'no thanks' after-meal washcloth pushaway. but mom, leave my face alone - please! below, the happy guy from mid-meal. yogurt.... yum!

When mommy gets her act together, she'll update my pictures.

january tenth

i'm no small guy anymore. for comparison, mom and dad put me in my infant carrier. what happened to the newborn? below, you'll also see i love playing with the bead toy grandma and grandpa brought me for christmas. so fun!

january ninth

today it was cold in florida. too cold. but daddy and i headed out anyway to cheer on mommy at the disney half marathon. daddy and i relied on each others' body heat to stay warm. we also got some pictures with the cool disney characters while mommy did her 13 miles. afterward, dad and i chilled out at home while mommy got her hair done. i thought she looked nice and pretty. i love mommy.

When mommy gets her act together, she'll update my pictures.

january eighth

why am i stuck in here? just because i'm good at crawling doesn't have to mean they 'send me to jail,' does it?

january seventh

mommy almost forgot to snap my daily picture so she snuck in while i was asleep. don't tell her it was past midnight and it was already technically a 'january eighth picture.' she'll contend that since she hadn't slept yet, it counted for the prior day. let's give it to her. after all, she'd worked all day, gone to disney to pick up her race packet, and came back.
